Chief Clerk and BRB Staff Survey

Introduction
An introduction as to why the Washington State Association Boundary Review Board is conducting this survey.

RCW Citations
A reference page to RCW's (Revised Code or Washington) that are valuable to Boundary Review Boards.

The questions apply to the Chief Clerk and BRB staff who are responsible for all of the board functions, this would include
  1. training board members
  2. assisting the Chair/Vice Chair with their board responsibilities
  3. preparing and assessing boundary review board issues filed with the board for consideration
  4. coordinating with all affected parties
  5. internal coordination within their respective county departments
The training needs for staff and the Chief Clerk is vastly different than what is required by the board members.

We also recognize that some counties, due to budgetary constraints will assign the BRB functions to county staff who have limited experience in handling BRB hearings. Therefore, the Education Committee recognizes staff training needs are vastly different than those of your board members. Therefore, it is important for our State Association to determine how we can best augment your staff internal training needs with our combined shared resources.
