The questions apply to new board members who have served less than three years in their position or have participated in less than three public hearings. This does not preclude any board member who might consider themselves as “new” for the purpose of our survey due to lack of opportunity or requiring a “refresher.” We recognize that the training needs of “new members” is different from those members who have experience and might have participated in a variety of public hearing subject matters.
